In addition to our physicians, the clinic employs multiple different health care professionals that you may encounter during your visit. We are also a teaching centre involved in medical education through McMaster University and Conestoga College. See below for information about the various team roles:
MOAs are your first point of contact with our clinic. They answer phones, room patients, take vital signs, give vaccines, and manage all administrative tasks required to organize your care.
RPNs have two years of specialized training in nursing. They are experts at taking medical history, triaging the urgency of your needs, and performing specialized delegated procedures and counseling visits.
Medical students join us at different points during their journey through medical school and may range from just observing physicians to doing a comprehensive assessment that is reviewed with your physician.
Residents are registered medical doctors who are specializing in family medicine. They have graduated from medical school and are now completing 2-3 years of additional training. Residents are licensed to do everything that a full-fledged doctor can do, but they need to review every patient with their supervising physician to ensure the best patient care possible during their training.
